The Patrick Henry Athletic Boosters Association (PHABA) is proud to announce a transformative new chapter for our beloved sports programs! With an invigorated sense of purpose, new leadership, and cutting-edge investments, the 2024-2025 year promises to be a thrilling time for the Patriots community. Here’s what’s new:

New Online Presence: PHABA.org

At the heart of PHABA’s modernization efforts is the launch of our brand-new website, PHABA.org. The site will serve as the central hub for all things related to Patriots sports. From game schedules to ticket sales, and everything in between, PHABA.org will offer easy access to the latest updates and key information for athletes, parents, and fans alike. You’ll also find details on volunteering opportunities, upcoming fundraising events, and how to get involved in supporting our athletes.

Innovative Investments in AI for Sports Performance

This year, with the help of Purple Patriot Sponsors Mellow Mushroom and CRUNCH Fitness, PHABA has made strategic investments in advanced sports technology, in partnership with WinShares. The integration of AI-powered tools will help both coaches and athletes elevate their game through data-driven insights. This investment is aimed at improving performance analysis, injury prevention, and even recruitment efforts, making sure our athletes have the best resources available to succeed.

WinShares is a 501(c)(3) known for funding and implementing AI systems that bring professional-level analytics to high school programs. The Patrick Henry Patriots will now have access to state-of-the-art tools to analyze real-time performance metrics and enhance player development. This marks a significant leap forward in our commitment to ensuring our teams compete at the highest level, advancing student opportunities in AI along the way.

New Main Field Scoreboard

Another exciting update for this year is the installation of the new Main Field scoreboard, which will undoubtedly enhance the game day experience for fans and players alike. Featuring prominent Purple Patriot sponsors Mellow Mushroom, MKB Realtors, and CRUNCH Fitness, this state-of-the-art scoreboard is a testament to the strong support of our local businesses. The new addition will offer clearer displays, faster updates, and a more interactive experience, ensuring that every fan is part of the action.

2025 PH Golf for Good 2nd Annual Charity Classic

The Second Annual PH Golf for Good Charity Classic is scheduled for Monday, April 21st, 2025 at our home course, Roanoke Country Club. Learn more HERE and join in the fun, as proceeds help support subscriptions to AI Technology across all sports.

Chuck Beasley is the Director of Fundraising for the PHABA, and Founder of WinShares, Inc., a 501(c)(3) Non-profit and leading AI Sports Technology partner for student athlete advancement. He is a Journalism Major from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and has dedicated over 30 years serving in athletics, including his roles as a Television Sports Broadcaster, SID in the ODAC, and Head Coach across multiple sports. His pioneering work with WinShares is helping serve the underserved in communities throughout the Mid Atlantic.

About Us

The Patrick Henry Athletic Boosters Association is a volunteer organization that supports extracurricular activities and sports at Patrick Henry High School. We are a dedicated group of parents that strive to support our school's activities and sports by fundraising to properly equip and to protect our students. The Roanoke City Public School System budget provides the basic funding for game officials and transportation. There is large financial gap between the city budget and the needs of our students.

Booster fundraising provides support for our student athletes in the form of technology, meals, equipment, warm-ups, balls, practice equipment, and other supplies necessary for our students to compete and to get opportunities for high school participation, memory-making, developing new friendships, and lessons in teamwork that contribute to success both on and off the field.

Additionally, the PHABA helps organize the sports banquets recognizing our athletes each sports season and helps publicize our students' accomplishments to the community. Our fundraising goals are high and we need the support of every community member. Major fundraising events are seasonal, including Back to School, Holiday Sales, the Spring Golf for Good Tournament, memberships, donations, sponsorships, concessions, spirit wear, and more.
