PATRIOT PRIDE
On a perfect day for golf and giving back, the Second Annual Mellow Mushroom PH Golf for Good Charity Tournament brought together alumni, community leaders, and generous sponsors to raise critical support for Patrick Henry student-athletes. With every drive, putt, and high-five, the day reinforced our shared mission: to uplift Roanoke youth through opportunity, mentorship, and the power of sports.
This event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. We are especially grateful to our Title Sponsors, Mellow Mushroom & CRUNCH Fitness, for serving as a driving force behind the tournament’s success.

One of the most inspiring parts of this year’s event was the spotlight on the Roanoke Police Department’s PROS (Positive Relationships with Officers through Sports) initiative.
The PROS program is a powerful community outreach effort designed to foster trust, respect, and mentorship between Roanoke’s youth and local law enforcement. Through sports like golf, pickleball, and a growing list of other fields of play, officers and young people connect in a positive, structured, and supportive environment.
At-risk youth are invited into these spaces not only to learn new sports, but to build confidence, develop teamwork, and engage with mentors who truly care. Events like PH Golf for Good help raise awareness and build momentum for programs like PROS, which are already creating meaningful impact in our neighborhoods.
We’re proud to stand alongside the Roanoke Police Department in this important mission.
Every dollar raised supports PH student-athletes, interns, coaches, and families through programs focused on development, exposure, and education. Whether you're an alum, a sponsor, or a friend of the program, your involvement makes an impact that extends far beyond the fairway.
Together, with initiatives like PROS, we’re creating safer, stronger communities by investing in our youth.
Thank you for standing with us—and for helping PH Golf for Good be more than just a one-day event. Because of your support, the impact is felt year-round.
Until next year, Go Patriots!
p.s. And last but not next to last…
Former Patriot greats - Mike Harig, Jeff Harig, Jay Glenn with an even par round of 71.

About Us
The Patrick Henry Athletic Boosters Association is a volunteer organization that supports extracurricular activities and sports at Patrick Henry High School. We are a dedicated group of parents that strive to support our school's activities and sports by fundraising to properly equip and to protect our students. The Roanoke City Public School System budget provides the basic funding for game officials and transportation. There is large financial gap between the city budget and the needs of our students.
Booster fundraising provides support for our student athletes in the form of technology, meals, equipment, warm-ups, balls, practice equipment, and other supplies necessary for our students to compete and to get opportunities for high school participation, memory-making, developing new friendships, and lessons in teamwork that contribute to success both on and off the field.
Additionally, the PHABA helps organize the sports banquets recognizing our athletes each sports season and helps publicize our students' accomplishments to the community. Our fundraising goals are high and we need the support of every community member. Major fundraising events are seasonal, including Back to School, Holiday Sales, the Spring Golf for Good Tournament, memberships, donations, sponsorships, concessions, spirit wear, and more.
The Booster Board - Want to learn how it all works and get involved? Our board meetings are always open. Please come to a meeting and find out how you can help with fundraising and recognition events to support our school and students.
